BRAND CREATION & UX DESIGN
Danny started taking professional diving photos about 8 months prior to me meeting him. He attended college for marine biology and works with local diving companies in ocean conservation. He started photography as a creative outlet and fell in love. He never would've guessed where it would've taken him. Now as his business grows he knew he needed a logo, print materials and a website. I ended up going shark diving with him, getting to see his passion and skills while he worked. This experience helped me step into his shoes and design the best experience for who he is.
PRINT & DIGITAL ASSETS
With Danny's work being heavily involved with water...it just made too much sense to design a card that is waterproof. When I showed Danny the design he was stoked! Admitting the times he hands out cards water is near 90% of the time or the places he kept them (backpack, pockets or on the boat) all give the opportunity for them to be ruined.
I wanted to create stickers that allowed us to expand on later. With this, we agreed it would be refreshing to put out different types of sharks in future stickers. These were designed to be a momento reminding previous clients of the experience, we agreed not to advertise social/web links encouraging people to tell a story when people asked about the sticker.
This is the final designed site, currently I am waiting for written content to fill in place of the dummy content. I wanted the homepage to initiate the full experience. Having the first moment they land on the site be an immersive video into the diving world sparking an excitement only diving with underwater creatures can. I encouraged Danny to offer print sales for additional income and advertising his gifts in people's homes. He's working on setting up his process including print materials and shipping costs. When he gets to a place where he can manage this additional service we will include it on the site.
